Stranger Than Heaven costs $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $89.99 for the Deluxe Edition on Steam, and the US Xbox and PlayStation stores charge the same, as of Nov 3, 2026. The Deluxe Edition adds in-game items only: an outfit for Makoto Daito, 4 weapons, 4 skilled performers, 3 stage production items, a promotional poster, a record player and an electronic camera, unlocked as you progress through the main story. It gives no early access. Standard owners can buy the same items later as the Deluxe Upgrade. The physical Collector's Edition adds a vinyl, a SteelBook and a box, and its US price of $129.99 is reported, not listed by a store read for this page. Every edition pre-ordered before launch includes the weapon Dosu: Kagekiri.

SEGA's announcement lists digital Standard and Deluxe and physical Standard and Collector's editions; no physical Deluxe was announced. The platforms for the Collector's Edition differ by region, which is covered with its contents on Collector's Edition.

What does the Deluxe Edition add?

Steam lists the Deluxe items as:

• an original outfit for Makoto Daito;
• 4 weapons;
• 4 skilled performers, for the shows Makoto stages in Showbiz;
• 3 stage production items;
• a special promotional poster;
• a record player, which plays music from each era at your home base;
• an electronic camera, which SEGA says "expands the photography functionality."

The four weapons and four performers have not been named by SEGA as of Nov 3, 2026. The weapon types shown so far are on Weapons.

How do the Deluxe items unlock?

Through the story. Steam's listing says the Deluxe items are obtained by progressing through the main story and that a patch may be required, so they do not all arrive in the first minutes of the game. SEGA has not published which item unlocks at which point.

SEGA's store page warns that the Collector's and Deluxe Editions carry the same DLC, so a Collector's buyer should not also buy the Deluxe Upgrade.

Can you upgrade from Standard to Deluxe?

Yes. SEGA's Japanese announcement says Standard owners can buy a Deluxe Upgrade with the same items later. Its price on its own had not appeared on the Steam, Xbox or PlayStation US stores as of Nov 3, 2026; the gap between the two editions there is $20.

Is the Deluxe Edition worth it?

That depends on how much the items matter to you, and nobody has played with them yet. What is known: the Deluxe Edition costs $20 more in the US, adds no early access and no story content, and its items arrive over the course of the story. The record player and the camera add home base music and more photography options; the weapons, performers and stage items feed combat and Showbiz. Because the Upgrade is sold separately, a Standard buyer can decide after launch, though the Upgrade's own price is not listed yet. Game Pass players should read Game Pass first.
