Is there an English dub?
Steam lists full English audio, but SEGA has not published an English voice cast as of Nov 3, 2026, and the game's performances are mixed by design. Abe told Game Informer that American characters speak English and Japanese characters speak Japanese. Makoto Daito himself starts out thinking and speaking more in English, and his battle cries shift from English to Japanese as the decades pass; Yu Shirota, who plays him, also performed regional accents for Hiroshima and Osaka. Whether the English audio option re-voices the Japanese characters in English, or keeps the mixed performance, is not known yet. The cast is on Characters and Cast, and Makoto's shift on Makoto Daito.
What is the age rating?
The ESRB rating is Mature 17+, for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore, Suggestive Themes, Use of Drugs and Strong Language, as shown on the Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store on Nov 3, 2026. Xbox's separate game page still read "ESRB: Rating pending" that day; the store listings are the newer of the two. Steam's mature content note mentions some nudity or sexual content, frequent violence or gore and general mature content.
In Japan, SEGA's announcement of Jun 8, 2026 lists the CERO rating as "scheduled". In Europe, no PEGI rating appears in the sources read. The Summer Game Fest 2025 teaser opened with a PEGI 18 warning, per GamesRadar+, but that rated the trailer, not the game.
