Every edition of Stranger Than Heaven pre-ordered before launch comes with the weapon Dosu: Kagekiri, physical or digital. It unlocks as you progress through the game, and the pre-order cutoff falls just before each store's Jan 15, 2027 unlock.

The Stranger Than Heaven pre-order bonus is a weapon, Dosu: Kagekiri (ドス・影切 in Japanese), given with every edition, Standard, Deluxe or Collector's, physical or digital. You do not get it at the start: SEGA says it unlocks as you progress and needs the latest update, and that its contents and timing may change. Pre-orders opened on Jun 5, 2026 and the bonus applies until just before launch on Jan 15, 2027; the exact cutoff differs by store.

When does the pre-order bonus end?

SEGA's Asia store page gives two cutoffs, both in UTC+8: Xbox and PS5 pre-orders by 23:59 on Jan 14, 2027, and Steam pre-orders by 12:59 on Jan 15, 2027. The Steam cutoff is 04:59 UTC, one minute before Steam's listed unlock at 05:00 UTC, and the Japanese store page gives it as 13:59 Japan time. SEGA has not posted cutoffs for other regions in a source read for this page; if they follow the same pattern, the bonus ends the minute before your store unlocks. How does Dosu: Kagekiri unlock?

As you play. SEGA's Japanese announcement says the weapon is obtained with game progress and needs the game's latest update, without saying at which point. Its stats and special attacks have not been published. How weapons work in general, with upgrades and techniques, is on Weapons.

For Collector's Edition buyers, the bonus comes as a download code in the box, along with the Deluxe Upgrade code.
